MEACC Annual Conference

Keynote Speaker:
Julie Isbill from the National Park Service’s Brunswick office will share her expertise and some of her many experiences concerned with local trails. Julie has assisted many municipalities including conservation commissions with trail planning/strategizing and grant writing.
Speaker 2: Marcel Polak Woodstock CC member and former MEACC executive director has a depth of experience with land protection projects. Marcel will talk about his and others recent involvement in protecting the 634-acre Bucks Ledge Community Forest in Woodstock and how the town became unified in support despite a political divide.
Conservation Commission Share Time: Each attending conservation commission will share through a spokesperson what and how they’ve been doing and any concerns or lessons learned. Attendees of past annual conferences have found “share time” invaluable.
Networking Lunch: We will be offering lunch along with an opportunity to network with other conservation commissioners.
Location: The conference will be in the Morrell Meeting Rm at Curtis Memorial Library in Brunswick located at 23 Pleasant St., which is on the corner of Pleasant St. and Middle St. After passing the front of the library take an immediate right on Middle St. The entrance to the Morrell Meeting Room fronts Middle St.
